To use this resource, print the three pages: one cover cup, a worksheet cup (one per student), and one back cover message. Then, give each student a worksheet and ask them to complete it by drawing themselves and their teacher/principal and writing a heartfelt message.

This resource offers exceptional opportunities to incorporate multicultural activities into the curriculum effectively. The primary objective of this activity is to establish a personal connection with the Diwali festival, as it enhances children’s learning experience.
The first activity, “Complete the Text,” serves as a perfect introduction to the festival’s significance. The second activity aims to reinforce one of the most crucial aspects of Diwali, which is sharing with others, through a five-day challenge.
By engaging in these activities, students will gain a deeper understanding of the true meaning behind one of Diwali’s most significant traditions, Rangoli. They will utilize their creativity to draw their unique Rangoli designs.
Moreover, children will be able to identify both the differences and similarities between Christmas and Diwali, fostering an appreciation for diverse celebrations. They will also explore how this important event is celebrated in their own country and in India.
